چکیده
In 2013, Andra (French National Radioactive Waste Management Agency) drilled boreholes to the south-east of Paris Basin, characterise Aptian and Albian clayey formations, including ‘Argiles à Plicatules’ Formation dated as early Aptian. One these intersected this formation with an excellent recovery allowing detailed biostratigraphy (ammonites), sedimentology, clay mineralogy, isotope geochemistry (?13Corg) Rock-Eval analyses be performed. The base corresponds transgressive dark-grey silty clays iron oolites plant debris indicating a coastal environment evolving up-section upper offshore environments. Higher in succession, less than 4% CaCO3 0.8% organic matter were deposited lower occurrence ammonites can used draw biostratigraphic scheme, particular, recognise deshayesi furcata ammonite Zones. mineral assemblages are composed illite kaolinite associated minor amounts chlorite, vermiculite smectite. ?13Corg values range between ?24 ?25‰ except particular interval characterised by prominent negative excursion about ?3‰, that is recognised worldwide precedes Oceanic Anoxic Event 1a (OAE1a). This also abundance absence smectite suggesting acceleration hydrological cycle enhanced runoff hydrolysing conditions over emerged landmasses just before during onset OAE1a. climate change consistent palynological data warm humid Surprisingly, corresponding OAE1a not significantly enriched its lithology different from rest core Tethyan anoxic water masses did reach relatively shallow epicontinental environments Basin.

Planktonic Foraminifera of the Dariyan formation and implications of Oceanic Anoxic Event 1a
The investigated section cropping out in Kuh-e-Banesh, Zagros basin (southern Iran) is represented by limestone, Cherty beds and marllevels bearing abundant Planktonic foraminifers, radiolarian microfaunas, and ammonite imprints. For the first time, well to moderatelypreserved forms of Planktonic foraminifera have been extracted from black shale and marls levels. Extracted biota was studied wit...

متن کاملClimatic evolution across oceanic anoxic event 1a derived from terrestrial palynology and clay minerals (Maestrat Basin, Spain)
Studies dealing with the response of the continental biosphere to the environmental perturbations associated with Cretaceous oceanic anoxic events (OAEs) are comparatively rare. Here, a quantitative spore-pollen record combined with clay mineral data is presented, which covers the entire early Aptian OAE 1a interval (Forcall Formation, Maestrat basin, east Spain). The well-expressed OAE 1a carb...

All species are recorded for the first time from t...
متن کاملComment on "Calcareous nannoplankton response to surface-water acidification around Oceanic Anoxic Event 1a".
Erba et al. (Reports, 23 July 2010, p. 428) attributed calcareous nannofossil morphology and assemblage changes across Cretaceous Oceanic Anoxic Event 1a to the effects of surface ocean acidification. We argue that the quality of carbonate preservation in these sequences, the unsupported assumptions of the biotic response to acidity, and the absence of independent proxy estimates for ocean pH o...
